Just a quick post this week, I have been working on some hand stitched pieces and this has been my focus over the last week, so keep a watch out for those!

Looking to nature for my inspiration (once again) I have created these pieces.

When I saw this beach reed I thought it would be a perfect subject to stitch, therefore I hand stitched the design into paper. This has given the piece texture helping it to link to the original subject.

This next piece was created using a media that I am fairly unfamiliar with, watercolour pencils. I wanted to give them a go in the style that I have come accustomed to; I like the bright colours that the pencils give when brushed with water, however it is a media in which I will need to practise more in order to get the most out of it.
